This tutorial was written by me. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is pure coincidence. Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own. It was written in PSP 9 but should be compatible with any version of PSP.

I am using the PTU kit Yo Ho Ho by Manipulated by Magik. You can buy this kit at Thrifty Scraps




Open new image 600 x 600

Edit, Copy Frame 5

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image, resize 75%

With your magic wand click inside of the frame

Selections, Modify, Expand by 20

Edit, copy Paper 3

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Layers, arrange, send to bottom

Selections, Invert

Edit, Clear

Edit, copy Wave

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image, resize 75%

Edit, Clear

Selections, Select None

Select Raster 2

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Settings of:
Vertical : -3
Horizontal: 3
Opacity: 50
Blur: 10
Color: Black
Shadow on new layer NOT Checked

Edit, Copy Tree

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the left of the frame

Image, resize 80%

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Same Settings

Edit, copy Sand

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the bottom of the frame and place beneath the tree

Image, resize 80%

Edit, Copy Crates

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the left and sit in front of the palm tree

Move to the left and place to the left and in front of the crates

Move to the left and place behind the cannon and sit them on the crates

Move  to the right and place at the bottom right on the sand

Layers, arrange, bring to top

Edit, copy Pirate

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Layers, arrange, bring to top

Move to the left. Make it look like the pirates feet are on the wheel of the cannon

Edit, copy Gold Coins

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the right and place behind the treasure and move down to look like the treasure is sitting on the gold coins

Move to the right and place in front of the treasure and to the right

Move to the left bottom and place in front of the crates and beside the cannon

Image, rotate, free rotate, 10, left

Move to the right and place on the treasure chest. See my tag for placement
