Raspberry Swirl FTU Tutorial

This tutorial was written by me. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is pure coincidence. Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own. It was written in PSP 9 but should be compatible with any version of PSP.

I am using the artwork of Sebastien Serrano. You need a license to use his tubes. You can buy this tube at SATC

I am using the FTU kit Raspberry Swirl by Amy(Gimptastic Scraps) . 


Open new image 600 x 600

Edit, Copy Frame 2

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image, resize 80%

With your magic wand click inside the frame

Selections, Modify, Expand by 8

Edit, copy Paper 4

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Layers, arrange, move down

Selections, Invert

Edit, clear

Selections, Select None

Select Raster 2

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Settings of:
Vertical and Horizontal: 2
Opacity: 65
Blur: 5
Color: Black
Shadow on new layer NOT Checked

Edit, copy Frame 3

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image, resize 80%

Move up so it is centered on top of the other frame

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Same Settings

Select Raster 3

Selections, Select All, Float, Defloat

Edit, Copy Close Up Tube

Edit, Paste, Paste as new layer

Move to place how you wish

Selections, Invert

Edit,Clear

Change opacity of this layer to Soft Light

Edit, copy Doiley

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Layers, arrange, send to bottom

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Same Settings

Edit, copy Berry Scatter

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Layers, arrange, bring to top

Move to the bottom of my frame. See my tag for placement

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Same Settings

Layers, Duplicate

Image,Mirror

Edit, Copy Berry 2

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the left. See my tag for placement

Image, resize 60%

Edit, Copy Berry 1

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image resize 60%

Move over to the left of berry 2. See my tag for placement

Place on top of the other two berries

Edit, copy Branch 3

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the left

Move til it is below the berries. See my tag for placement

Image, rotate, free rotate, 40, right

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, Same Settings

Edit, copy Flower 4

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Image, resize 80% 

Move down and to the right. See my tag for placement

Edit, copy Basket

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move over to the right and place behind the flowers but let the handle show of the basket

Edit, copy Butterflies

Edit, paste, paste as new layer

Move to the top. Move around. See my tag for my placement

Move down to the right and place behind and to the side of the berries

Move to the left of the frame. see my tag for placement

Move over to the right move down til it is below the basket

Image, rotate, free rotate, 40, right

Layers, arrange, send to bottom

Pull over to the right. See my tag for placement

Layers, arrange, bring to top

Image, resize 60%

Move over to the flowers. See my tag for placement

Place on the birdhouse. See my tag for placement

Select Branch 1

Image, rotate, rotate counterclockwise 90

Move to the left and move down til it is behind branch 1

Select Raster 4

Edit, Copy Scatter

Edit, Paste, Paste as new layer

Remember to add your copyright info. Make sure it is plain and legible

Add your name to the tag

Save as PNG
